Installation troubleshooting

Whenever the installation fails for unknown reasons or crashes, it should leave a crash log in the tamp directory for example in C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp\install4jError1234567891234567890.log.
This error log may contain more information.

 

Windows user: installation fails due to problems with ClearType settings.

Execute the following CMD command and try again:

reg add "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop" /t REG_DWORD /v FontSmoothingGamma /d 1024 /f

Tags: Error log may contain: "Caused by: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: XX incompatible with Text-specific LCD contrast key"
