Usenet Troubleshooting

I failed to add a Usenet account for a specific Usenet service (for example eweka), what can I do?

  • try this method. Important: If you use the linked method, you might need different login credentials!
Your Usenet service may list them under "Usenet client login data", "SABnzbd login credentials" or "Newsreader login credentials".
  • or: report the problem to our support

My download speed is slow, why is that and what can I do?

Check this guide for generic speed problems.

If that does not help:

Our Usenet support is very basic.

Other tools are able to download multiple Usenet segments at the same time while JDownloader can only download them sequentially.

The only thing that might help you is to increase the number of simultaneous downloads.

JDownloader fails to complete Usenet downloads while other tools work fine or the files downloaded via JDownloader are broken, why is that and what can I do about it?

JDownloader is lacking the support to recover broken/missing usenet files via "par2" files while other Usenet download tools support that (reference).
Unfurtunately, there is nothing you can do about it other than to either use other tools or wait until we implement support for auto restoring missing/broken Usenet items.
